Mission-driven mapping.

We make maps all the time, but there’s more to our story

We are an entrepreneurial L3C company dedicated to the broad use and participatory application of digital mapping technologies.

Our partners and clients are active in land conservation, outdoor recreation, natural resources management, environmental planning, tourism and local economic development, cultural heritage, public health, poverty alleviation, and education.

We have worked on projects across the United States and internationally.

We’ve been at this work since 2005. Over the years, our skills and experience have expanded. Our team has grown as has our network of talented collaborating graphic designers, software developers, and website programmers.

We approach each and every project with openness. Some projects and clients need out-of-the-box solutions. Others benefit from one-of-a-kind custom applications.

We especially love projects that directly engage communities in the mapping process.

We are map-makers who do a lot more.

We design logos to help brand places that we are mapping, whether digitally or in print. We gather data and create analytical models that are used to assess high value conservation opportunities and rural health care linkages. We share expertise with organizations for building their in-house GIS capacity. We both map trails and advise trail managers on how to make those same trails more accessible and welcoming to users.

It is true, we are map people. We love creating stand-out maps and products that communicate the issues that are important to our clients and partners.

It is also true that we have an affinity for orange.
